The Maine Developmental Services Oversight Advisory Board (MDSOAB) is conducting a survey (https://forms.gle/EMDoueU6TowaG16a6) regarding Developmental Services here in Maine.
The role of the MDSOAB is described in state statute Title 34-B in Chapter 1. The board has several powers and duties to carry out its oversight and advisory functions. One of our roles is “to hold at least one hearing or other forum each year that is open to the public to gather information about the availability, accessibility, and quality of services available to persons with intellectual disabilities or autism and their families.” This year we held 1-hour Forums at the May 16th and June 20th meetings of the Maine Coalition of Housing and Quality Services. We are also pleased to be accepting written comments and reaching out to individuals who received services in ways and places convenient to them. The MDSOAB has positive working relations with our state partners and others. We hope to strengthen our collective system of support by working together. We will listen to your feedback and share it with those partners. Please complete the survey: https://forms.gle/EMDoueU6TowaG16a6 to provide feedback on the performance of the provider community and ANY state agency in the past year and share your goals and priorities for the future. Responses to this survey will be accepted through August 31st, 2023. Thank you, Bonnie-Jean Brooks, Interim Executive Director, MDSOAB Contact Info: 207-944-9093 [email protected] |
